At the close of each day, I pray for peace and give thanks for the beauty and blessings in nature. I treasure myriad things in life: the scent of plants and flowers that naturally flow around and over lakes and mountains; the way insects and animals harmoniously coexist in a harsh environment; the gentleness of deeply sensitive people; and light shed from the sun, moon, and stars. I pray for the spread of infinite and magnificent light and love in the universe.

 

My work reflects traditional architecture and design, yet my pieces strive to create relaxing spaces and places from natural and environmentally friendly materials. My goal is to provide a healthy and secure home for everyone; I hope people everywhere will experience an enhanced, blissful lifestyle by having Megumi Hashiguchi designs around them in their homes and offices.

 

Since 2000, Megumi has been a philanthropist and participated in charitable activities in under-developed countries. She provides educational materials for children, improves study environments, and sends donations to drill wells for safe drinking water. Megumi also supports social contribution activities in each country to introduce traditional arts.
